Plan your night of jazz in New York
Tell us what you love to hear, what you want to spend and where you're starting. We'll route you club to club, set to set, across the city: times, travel, covers, tickets and a map you can print or send to your phone.
How the planner works
- Pick your sound. Bebop, organ grooves, Afro-Cuban, ECM-quiet, big band, jazzy hip-hop, and more. Every bill at the 24 clubs we follow is rated for each style, by the band playing that night, not by one famous name on the bill.
- Set the night. Date, budget for the whole night (covers and drink minimums counted), where you start and how late you'll stay out.
- Get your route. Sets that don't overlap, with time to get between clubs, in order on a map. Print it, save it as a PDF, or send the link.

Questions
Is the planner free?
Yes. No account, no sign-up. Your choices stay in your browser and in the link you share.
Where do the listings come from?
Straight from each club's own calendar, checked several times a day. Covers and ticket links are the club's. Always check the club's site before you go: lineups change.
How long is a set?
We plan around 75 minutes per set and the time to walk or take the subway to the next club. Many clubs clear the room between sets, so each stop is its own ticket.
